So I know a lot of people have figured out how to get those little elastics out, but for those who haven't, this is what I do: First I pull it out like I am going to unwrap it. Then I put the pulled-out elastic stretched between two fingers, and with my other hand, I use small nail clippers to snip the elastic. Voila! elastic out, no hair ripped or cut!

So my pippy needed an all-up do to go get her ears pierced. I did some Crazy Eights for Pippy's 8th birthday this week. Here is how I did the one in her hair: First, I parted across from ear to ear, then down the middle to create 4 sections. I took a little hair from the left side just near the middle part on top and secured it in the top right pony. And I left a little hair from the right side (near the part) out of the right top pony. I found this style on dressytresses, and since it was demonstrated on a manequin, I just had to see for myself what it would look like with real hair. Here is the final look: See how cool that is? Okay, so I know I promised this right after Veteran's Day, but I moved that week, so hopefully I'm excused. On with the curls: Isn't that pretty? This is how we did it: From the cornrows I braided them the rest of the way down, french-style to include all the hair, like this: Then I used Sponge rollers. Yep, that's right!!! Only, there's a trick to getting great ringlets from those things.

Red White and "do" (didn't have blue ribbon) I wanted to do something fun and special for Veteran's Day, so I used This Style from Girly Do's with red and white ribbon. I wish I had a big blue bow to put in that pony tail tho. Thanks Jenn for the awesome inspiration! Tommorow we will show you how to make beautiful curls with these cornrows!
