Star-inspired by Jenn!

So as I'm sure you are all aware by now, we love braids. We do a lot of them. In shapes. Well, I found this one over HERE on "Girly Do's by Jenn" And I searched her sight for the instructions, but couldn't find any but i did finally figure it out. She has been kind enough to let me post a tutorial on this fabulous fun star (no french braiding required!)
So to start out, make 5 triangular parts and pull them into ponies:
(This is my angelic sweet neighbor- Loooove her!) By the way, you'll totally have to excuse the clean laundry waiting to be folded in the background. When I have requests to do hair, well lets just say it takes precidence over everything else. ( I can't help it- hair is my playtime)

For the next step split each of those 5 ponies in two and braid each section, giving you 10 braids total:
(yes, different model, this one is Pippy. It was a popular style at my house that day)

Next combine the left-side braid of one pony with the right-side braid of the next pony, like such:
Keep doing this all the way around and you will start seeing the star taking shape.

Once you have combined all the braids, remove the superfluous elastics and gather the 5 "combined" braids into one ponytail in the center:

You should now have something like this:
I twisted the center pony into a bun and secured with an elastic. Pippy's hair is so thin, the star showed up really well around the center bun.
My sweet little neighbor's bun was a bit thicker, but the star still showed up well:
We'll be doing lots of fun fall and halloween shapes next week during our "fall break" from school, so be prepared! And as always, Please check out Jenn's fabulous site for absolutely adorable and easy "girly dos" You'll find a link to her on my sidebar.
