So I basically started with two headband style lace braids, one of them dutch, one corkscrew. (you can totally skip that part for time issues) I brought those back into a ponytail and then wrapped the ends of them around the pony. Next, separate the pony into 4 sections and braid them. Looking back, this would have been easier If I had braided wire into the braids to form the loops more securely. Then, make your loops, and pin them down the way you want. If your DD's hair is shorter, take the ends in the middle into a messy bun.
Since Angel's hair is long and thick, I took the ends of those 4 braids and pinned them into a braided bun for the "middle" part of our "flower." I hope my instructions are clear enough. Weekends are a great time for these newer, longer-than-ten-minute hairstyles. We did this on a Saturday, and this is what we did the following day with the waves:
I took all for braids in the pony out, but left the elastics in the ends of the corkscrew and dutch lace braids. I then smoothed down the frizzies a bit, and gathered it back into a pony. This time, I looped the ends of the two lace braids under the pony and secured with a second elastic. Then I flipped the ends hanging out of those two with a flat iron. It took 5 minutes and turned out so much cuter than a regular wavy pony, don't you think?
